33. Historical Museum

At the head of the south- wester stairway is a one storey long brick building housing. Many precious and rare Buddhist statues and stone inscription which was found surrounding the Swoyambhu hills are kept it in here. Also there is some golden Buddhist statue donated by the great poet Chittadhar.  This museum was established in 1871 A.D. by the Swoyambhu Vikash Mandal to safeguard images. Visitors can enter this museum with free of cost, and open to the public every day.
